Modern Staffing is seeking qualified Assembler II candidates for a manufacturing company in the New Braunfels, TX area:

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble door management security products, circuit boards, wires and units and perform other assembly related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Read process sheets and assemble boards and units for standard and custom orders.
  • Assemble door management security products using various parts, such as electronic components, printed circuit boards, covers, plates, boxes, screws, nuts, and wires.
  • Operate and use various machines, hand tools, small power tools, voltage meters and testing equipment to assemble and test products.
  • Strip and wrap wires.
  • Solder parts and wires to units.
  • Insert small component parts and/or wiring into printed circuit boards.
  • Set up and maintain a well-organized work area.
  • Package products and prepare for shipping.
  • Maintain departmental records and logs.
  • Work from samples, drawings, blueprints and/or written and verbal instructions.
  • Follow safe working practices and properly wear personal protective equipment as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)

  • One year of production/soldering related work is preferred.
  • Ability to read and work from basic blueprints and drawings
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to distinguish colors for color coding practices
  • Valid Texas driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems, machinery, and devices such as hand tools and small power tools, including soldering iron.
  • Ability to perform detailed repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry 20 to 30 lbs. and push or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or frequently.
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching or bending at the waist.


SHIFT:

Monday - Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

PAY RATE:

$16.34/hr.
