Skilled Handyman

Modern Staffing is seeking a Skilled Handyman for a leading construction contractor in San Marcos, TX.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for handling most basic plumbing and electrical issues, home repairs, painting interiors/exteriors, and other home remodeling as needed. Will cover the following areas, San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Lockhart, Seguin, and New Braunfels.

Skilled hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Include but are not limited to:

• Perform maintenance and light repairs.
• Perform light plumbing duties.
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.)
• Undertake light installation or carpentry (Building cabinets, wall repairs)
• Assist with electrical or plumbing repairs.
• General job site cleanup as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/General Education Development (GED) certificate and experience in home remodeling/construction.

• Proven experience as handyman.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and alone from time to time.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Good communication ability.
• Well-organized and problem-solving.
• Attention to detail.

SHIFT: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (times may vary due to job needs)

PAY RATE: $17.50/HR
