Modern Staffing is seeking a qualified Press Break Operator for a local manufacturing company in Seguin, TX:

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to set-up and operate metal bending machines (Press Brake) in accordance with quality/quantity standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify different types of material – Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized
  • Set up machinery to perform specific jobs
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management
  • Maintain a well-organized work area, keep equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
  • Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan
  • Maintain documentation of quality results
  • Uphold site efficiency standards
  • Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for site Safety and Quality standards and procedures
  • Assist in other work areas as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, memos, and simple instructions
  • Ability to perform basic business mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems, machinery, and devices such as hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to use and read a caliper, tape measure, and protractor.
  • Ability to perform detailed repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. occasionally and/or frequently.
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle/feel, and talk/hear.
  • Work involves occasional periods of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting/turning and reaching or bending at the waist.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

SHIFT:

Monday - Thursday 6:00AM-4:00PM

PAY RATE:

$18.50/hr.
