Modern Staffing is seeking a qualified Purchase Order Specialist Lead for a local manufacturing company in New Braunfels, TX:
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the Customer Service Lead and to work with the Customer Service Manager to enter and process orders. Other additional responsibilities include supporting training and coaching of the order entry department, perform high level customer service activities and assist co-workers with complex tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate with distributors and reps to ensure that orders are entered correctly; Clarify all uncertainties
- Assist order entry personnel to ensure that complicated or high-profile orders are entered correctly.
- Facilitate issue resolution on questionable and/or unclear orders, order entry errors, shipping errors and production errors, ensure great communication with customers throughout the resolution process.
- Follow up on past due orders; Coordinate with production, shipping, and other departments as needed, assuring that priority orders receive necessary attention.
- Coordinate with various departments to process high profile orders with an expedited manner, including demo orders, inter-company orders, and new customer Purchase orders.
- Work in coordination with the Customer Service Manager or Supervisor to monitor order cancellation and/or return processes.
- Handle complex issues and assist staff in dealing with irate customers.
- Provide minor technical advice regarding products to customers.
- Prepare and compile various reports including short reports, open-order reports, shipping reports and other reports as needed.
- Understand international shipping requirements.
- Attend customer and distributor events, company meetings and participate in presentations as needed, including assisting with continuous improvement.
- Support management with the development and implementation of processes and procedures, development and administration of department budget, goals and objectives, development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support management by solving problems and conflicts by interpreting and applying policy, development and/or maintenance of customer service department succession plan, and cross-training to ensure business continuality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Associates degree from an accredited institution/college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field and three years of customer service experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Purchase order experience REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of customer service.
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, ERP Systems and various office equipment
- Skill in reading, analyzing, and interpreting sales reports and data to maintain records and documents; compile and organize reports accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, prints and engineering documentation preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, listen attentively, provide instruction to others and provide customer service tactfully, verbally and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external customers.

PAY RATE:
$19.80/hr.
