Modern Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for an OBGYN clinic located in New Braunfels, TX:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet patients and obtain well documented vitals
- Conduct initial patient assessments
- Communicate effectively with patients , gather relevant medical history & symptoms
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely & appropriate patient care
- Administer medications
- Maintain accurate & up to date patient records
- Manage nurse calls/lab results
- Help keep exam rooms and supplies stocked
- Refill prescriptions
- Chaperone physician during exams
- Prepare specimens for lab pickup
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keep rooms neat, clean, and well supplied
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working in clinic or office setting preferred
- Previous experience in Women's Health preferred
- Current state license to practice in Texas
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Must have understanding of documentation standards
- Athena experience or electronic health records system (EHR) a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have great attention to detail
- Must be flexible
SHIFT:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm
(Sometimes after 5:00pm)
