Modern Staffing is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager for a local Freight Transportation Arrangement business in New Braunfels, TX:
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility is full charge bookkeeping and bi-weekly payroll in a casual work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Expert in QuickBooks.
- AP/AR
- Bi-weekly payroll support for 35 employees including calculating and processing employee wages, ensuring accuracy.
- Monthly sales reports
- Provide direct administration support and assistance to the owner of the company and superintendent
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service
- Always uphold confidentiality
- Human Resources responsibilities including onboarding for new employees
- End of the year reporting to CPA
- EFT processing
- Tax Reporting
- DOT reporting; Submit required commercial vehicle or driver's activity to the U.S. Department of Transportation
- Order office supplies
- Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Office Manager or Bookkeeping role.
- Must be highly proficient in QuickBooks.
- Must have excellent bookkeeping skills and excellent administrative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and ability to maintain organized records.
- Must be detail oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Work independently.
