Modern Staffing is seeking a qualified Senior Staff Accountant for a local manufacturing company in New Braunfels, TX:
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform various accounting job duties to meet deadlines in a timely manner and other related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monthly journal entries
- Cash, A/P and A/R sub-ledgers reconciliation
- Financial report preparation
- Maintain Inventory – Raw materials and WIP.
- Cycle Count Selection and Adjustments
- Manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory and E&O inventory utilization.
- Lead Physical Inventory Coordination and Posting.
- Review Purchase Price Variance & Inventory revaluation transactions.
- Review and coordinate internal indirect jobs.
- Inventory cost roll.
- Maintain all aspects of Fixed Assets.
- Maintain Fixed Assets database.
- Conduct Fixed Asset Inventory Verification
- Job Cost Reporting
- Participate in other finance and management projects.
- Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting is REQUIRED. A minimum of 3-5 plus years of related accounting experience is preferred. A minimum of 2 years' accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Detail oriented with high level of attention to financial accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numerical data
- Experienced in Excel spreadsheets and other accounting software. Excel technical skills – Pivot tables, VLookup, etc.; Functional Skills.
