Modern Staffing is seeking qualified Final Assemblers for a local manufacturing company in San Marcos, Tx:
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble and position parts to form component parts by following specifications such as simple drawings, blueprints, or exploded schematics. Assemble primarily one product line component and other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, spaced clips, rivets, cotter pins or other fasteners using hand tools and portable power pneumatic tools (i.e. import wrench).
- Provide minor set-ups for jobs by locating specified parts.
- Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and pneumatic tools to produce a close fit between parts.
- Operate saws, nail guns, drills, riveting machines, or hydraulic crimping machines to assist assembly operation.
- Fill out work orders and time sheets.
- Maintain and upkeep all required data.
- Provide minor paint touch-up when needed.
- Crating final assemblies and projects.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Prior experience in related field preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, simple drawings, or exploded schematics and follow assembly instructions.
- Ability to read measuring devices accurately.
- Skilled with various hand and power tools such as a Sawzall, Miter Saw & Nail gun
- Prior inventory experience a plus but not required.
- Experience with 3D fabrication projects.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Work involves frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning, reaching, bending at the waist and infrequently climbing.
- Must be able to lift, carry and frequently push and/or pull at least 50-75 pounds or up to 200 pounds with assistance.
- Manual dexterity; Must be mechanically inclined and have good hand-eye coordination.
SHIFT:
Monday - Friday – 8 hr. shift
PAY RATE:
$18.00/hr.
